⚔️ Ice Age Giants Comparison

Animal       Diet  Weight       Special FeatureWoolly Mammoth          Herbivore 6-8 tons     Giant curved tusks

Smilodon  Carnivore  200-400 kg          Saber teeth

Woolly Rhino     Herbivore 2-3.5 tons  Huge front horn

Megatherium     Herbivore 3-5 tons     Enormous claws

A Typical Ice Age Scene

Imagine a frozen steppe covered in snow: a herd of woolly mammoths slowly moves across the grasslands, while a woolly rhinoceros grazes nearby. Hidden among the rocks, a Smilodon waits patiently for an opportunity to ambush prey. Far away in South America, a towering Megatherium rises onto its hind legs to pull leaves from trees, looking almost like a living prehistoric giant.

These animals were among the most spectacular members of the Ice Age megafauna and disappeared near the end of the Pleistocene due to a combination of climate change and hum
